2nd & 3rd in from the left is ANNIE,from the Bucks Head, and Eunice Dootson, Bamfurlong Hotel, the landlady in front of the Rep is Jack Wrights wife (sorry cant remember her name)from the Bryn Hall, Bryn Gates
The landlady on the end of the front row r/h side i think is the from the Cumberland, Chapel Green, Mrs Abrams
i forgot to mention that my mum maggie ganderton was the landlady of the queens head pub that stood in the centre of the road at the saddle junction. mum and dad kept the pub for 13yrs untill it was demolished in the early 70s to make way for the new road system, but i do not think they have improved it one bit in fact it is far worse. i have put a photo o the pub in album, assorted, saddle junction
thanks mark for your help with the landladys name's i can only remember one of them, that is the lady on the front row right of mrs dootson. har name ia mary lowe but cant remember the name of her pub.
Mary Lowe had the Crispin.
look how well turned out these ladies were.
They valued their customers enough to make sure that always looked their best-you could spot a landlady straight away.
Sadly a lot of todays landladies do not make the effort.
