Thanks again, Alan,for sharing these great photographs.I am often accused of seeing my childhood through rose tinted spectacles and these photos say different.Thanks also to the photographer who captured these images of our child-hood.

What a great set of photos Alan. I lived in Spring St. until I was 7 in 1952. I went to Warrington Lane School and I would love to find any class photographs with me on. The canal and the Grey Hill were my playground. Also the Magical World of Calderbanks scrap yard. Brings back many happy memories of my childhood. When children, were children, up to the age of 12 or 13.
