In the background to the top and slightly left of center is the railway water shed with the tank on top as mentioned in a previous picture

The area between the nearer wall and the far wall with the tower behind is now occupied fully by Ainscough's yard, with trees lining the canal bank - and the buildings of which you can see the roofs are the former Westwood Motors works. If you look on the Geograph site under square SD5805 you'll see the many pics of the area I've posted, for comparison with your excellent record.
