  No,1 Independant Company,Loyal Regiment.
I was on leave when the photo' was taken in Calais,1947. A lot of the lads came from the Wigan area.There was about 240 of us altogether,all we had to do was guard anything to do with the British Forces in France. I was there for 12 months and then went to Germany as a Driver & Dispatch-rider at Bielefeld.

I've just uploaded a photo of the Loyals of my grandad at Coed Camp Helen 1940...wonder if he's on this photo. Regards
