The Orrell Legionettes Morris Dancers were based at Orrell British Legion and were formed in 1954 (I think).
This photo was taken outside Orrell British Legion and the gentleman whose name I can't remember was, I think Chairman there and the ladies either side are Ina Hilton? and Nellie
Atherton (according to my aunt!).
If anyone can fill in the blanks, or correct any of my mistakes I'd be pleased to have that information. We all must be OAPs now so I guess a comparison of 'bus pass' photos would
prove quite interesting! My best wishes to any of you out there who remembers those outings.

The Chairman's name was Mr Abbott - was he something to do with Abbott & Smith the furniture shop in Pemberton?
