That's lovely Veronica.

Goodness me Veronica, these pictures get more risqué by the day.
What on earth will tomorrow bring.
Very lovely though, thanks.

Wow, Veronica....fabulous! I can't believe the talent from our two lady artists! However, Veronica, you know you promised not to show that painting of me just getting out of the bath! LOL!

I’m sure there’s going to be one or two moaners objecting to this post. All I can say is the site is full of ‘cookies’ one more won’t make any difference. This ‘cookie’ is on the way to ‘ Assorted’ and it’s the only route to get there.
It’s water off her back anyway and she’s not for ‘crumbling’.
Apologies and thank you.

Veronica, your pencil drawing is exquisite, another example of your talent. I thought at first that it might be in pastels, I wish I had a morsal of your artistry. Light and shade caught to perfection.

There will always be someone who objects, Veronica! A few years ago I mentioned we had been to Whitby Goths and a number of our "regulars" asked me to put a photo on of us in our Goths outfits but I wouldn't because they weren't "old" photos and I thought someone would complain. I recently put a pic of us in our 1940s clothes on Album and expected some moans because it was only a few years old, but luckily there were none. Yours and Maureen's paintings are brilliant. xxx

Excellent Maureen you are very talented.

Excellent Veronica.
As a comparison, well it's no way a comparison to yours at all, but I'm just saying that the painting in the link below by Lucy Manfredi is on sale at Clark Art Gallery for £1,750, and they sell too with all her works being bestsellers.

It’s only once Irene and some of the ‘cookies’ I see on here of young women with legs like rugby players and lips like car tyres and finished off with tattoos and dressed in skimpies. Ugh! I can’t get rid of them!
Thank you to all.

I decided to put the Goths photo on after all, Veronica.....as you say, it's only once and some of the regulars asked to see it when we got back from Whitby a few years ago; most of the photos I have put on Album are very old ones and I won't make a habit of putting newer ones on. So watch out for it later and I hope it gives people a laugh!

I’ve seen those two ladies in your link in the Brocket Cyril and they appear to have numbers chalked on the soles of their shoes … I reckon the one wearing the glasses is pushing her luck at 7/6 though .

Comment by: Cyril on 14th April 2024 at 10:44

Too true Ozy. I did reply yesterday with a joking comment about the other lady and her being a Mrs Slocombe lookalike along with her pussycat, like a double entendre on Are You Being Served, but it must have been deemed too upsetting for todays snowflakes, they're more like wet sleet if you ask me.

Though we shouldn't really be bringing the reputation of Veronica's lady in red into question, even though rather risqué.

We had a visiting Artist the day we did this and it was all about how to ‘approach’ folds in cloth. It was done in graphite pencil but I did it again with coloured pencil. The reference
photo was supplied by the Artist. Thanks again for the comments. I can understand it’s not really for this thread but I’m a Scholes girl at heart and went to St Pat’s and that’s where it began. I don’t know what Sr Mary Monica would have thought of this bold girl! It certainly wouldn’t have been hung on the wall.

Have only just caught up with these images on Album. Some very talented artists out there, thank you for sharing your work with us.
