I seem to remember Hall's bread in the fifties. The days when bread was wrapped in waxy paper.

It was Jack, at the back of the houses on Kenyon Road and Rylands Mill as I remember. I remember too a vulgar ditty about Hall's bread and most likely written by a disgruntled ex-employee.
Cyril, I wonder if the "vulgar ditty" you mention is the same as the one I remember.
"Eat Hall's bread,
S**t like lead,
F**t like thunder,
No bloody wonder.
HALL'S DELIGHTFUL BREAD!"
