I think one In bottom photo his Kevin Campbell,
I often wondered what happened to Vinnie Waters.....57 Years later I. see him again He worked in Oliver Somers on Mesnes st and I was in the shop across the road .I had a crush on him he was so nice .I was just 15 then..Hello Vinnie if you are still around !!
I was in the Sea Cadets at that time. Vinnie Waters was keen on Joy Williams, incidently her sister married Ken Roocroft.Remember C.P.O. Melling, I was in his guard of honour
I think I am the right hand back row of the bottom photograph. I am in touch with Ken Roocroft, but where are the rest of the pals I had in the Wigan Sea Cadets ?
I think the Bottom photograph, back row right hand side is
me. I have a few photographs of ex sea cadets if anyone
wants copies
I am a acting petty officer in wigan sea cadets now. We are now ts sceptre, what was the units name and where was it based then? nice photo uniform has not changed.
Top photo I'm pretty sure left hand side is Kevin Campbell.can't remember the other two lads names.
Bottom photo, back row I think left hand side could be Frank Foster, next one is definately one of the Daly's, not Mike but his brother, and again right hand side I think is Kevin Campbell.
Th name at that time was; TS Lady Crawford. We were probably in Bretherton Row at that time.
Ken Roocroft ex LS.
i was in the sea cadets from 1967 to 1970 it was called t s murrey back then
I was part of the Bretherton Row mob, after that, the Limbless Ex-Servicemens club, (anyone remember that?). Ending up at Christchurch Hall in Stairgate...All "TS Lady Crawford SCC"..From '49 to '53.
I think you'll all remember PO Harry Melling & LS John Dowding, I believe John is living somewhere around Parbold now..;o)
Does anyone remember going to the drill hall for rifle range shooting when someone flipped off the safety and put a .22 round into the floor between Harry Mellings feet. i cant come up with a name.
I recall way back when the sea cadets were based in an old hotel at the top of birkett bank, it was ts murry then lt grace i think was in command.

I was a member of Wigan Sea cadets at the same time as Tom Lyon and remember going on HMS Hecla for 2 weeks around 1969, do you remember Tom. The name before TS Murray was TS Adamant
Vincent waters is still around. Still doing well and still reminiscing about his sea cadet days.
I remember once being told, by
my Mother, that Vincent Waters was a Cousin when he once called at our house in Park Road, Wigan; this was was eons ago!
Have been trying to find out the family connection for ages, but still haven't.
Walsh was one of our family Surnames.
If anyone could ask Vincent, I'd be grateful.
