Anybody know any of the other players or location. Does it look like "St Peters cricket club, Hindley?"
On this post from Album "*UNKNOWN* - Can You Help?"

Pw notes "Fred [Scarborough] was very much into cricket and had a lot to do with St Peters cricket club [Hindley I presume]."
Jim,there is little on the photo that I recognise as Hindley St Peters CC except for the terraced which could be Wigan rd.At the back of the players was an hockey brook, more like ditch but I cannot see on this photo.Fred Scarborough was a very popular and well liked man in Hindley and I hope other people comment one way or the other. The photos are very good quality, someone had a good camera and knew how to use it.
Pw (or anyone else) I just found a fixture booklet with this info:

Hi was Fred Scarborough a teacher at St Peters school Hindley 1976 ish?? I went to that school and Mr Scarborough at lunchtime time took 3/4 different girls to his home everyday he would buy everyone sweets on the way up tobhis home. He lived in the end house on Carr St Hindley. He let a couple of girl go up into his attic room where he had a few toys and let them play foe 10 mins then it was back to school...
Was Malcolm Scarborough any relation to him? Malcolm was in my form at the TLS and I know he came from Hindley
