A pair of Wiganers waiting for the off in the 1962 Monty Morecambe rally. A two day trial round the Lakes with a 197cc Villiers 8e two stroke engine, mad or what?

More gallant than mad I should think, Brian. I like how the lady seems to take a relished drink from her cup, and how she then reminds me of the man who once lit his pipe in the mix of hearty conversation. Good picture.

A mate of mine had one.I am sure it was made of aluminium painted blue, this one looks fibreglass. You had to lift the bonnet and kick start it.We were only about 13 years old and my mate got it started and set off down the backs and crashed it into the only telegraph pole in the area

PW, The body was ally and the wings were fibreglass. Not surprised your pal crashed, the brakes were never much good unless you were going uphill!!!!

worst buy I ever made, my Dad said he towed it home more often than on it's own steam, very embarrassing when you are courting. Mine was aluminium.
