We won't see a finer hue for the names of these lads.

The 5th Battalion Manchester Regiment were mostly Wigan lads. They camped near me at Hollingworth lake near Rochdale in late 1914. The 5th, 7th and 8th Battalions of the Manchesters then all embarked for Gallipoli where they went into action in 1915. Not many came back.
