The display in Aspull RBL Club of the four Wigan Coal and Iron Company plaques originally installed at the various sections of the Works in July 1920.
It is said that they were rescued from a skip when the Works are demolished, and installed at the New Springs Ex-Servicemen's Club in nearby Cale Lane.
When that closed in 2011 it appears they were taken down and put into storage, until taken up to Aspull last year.
