Frank Calderbank, possible identification?
Frank Calderbank, possible identification?

This picture was in an old book we bought from a car boot sale at Our Lady's club on Downall Green Rd, Bryn about seven or eight years ago. The name written on the back is Frank Calderbank - does anybody recognise him?

Possible identification?
Alan Sutton of Hindley Green writes: "He could be the Frank Calderbank that used to drive a lorry for Walter Forshaw haulage (then in King Street Westhoughton but now in Bolton road Westhoughton). He does bear a strong resemblence although he was much older looking when I new him. He may not be with us now but he did live on Wigan Road, Westhoughton just above the junction with Southfield Drive just past the Shell filling station."

Anyone confirm this?

Thanks to P. Calderbank who signed the guestbook with: "The photo posted by P Confrey in the assorted photo album of a young soldier is indeed Frank Calderbank. He is my Grandfather, still very much alive and living in Westhoughton and is 81 in February."

If you still have this photo I would appreciate if I could have it. My Grandfather passed away last year and although we have plenty of photos this one is a bit different. If you could let me know I would be really grateful.
