On our boats ready to sail on the canal to Parbold, sometime in the early 1960's. From L to R the people are: Lt. Fred Winstanley DSM, in front of him ?, then myself, "MAC" McNicholas, Kevin Woodhouse, "Danny" Kaye. On the other boat are: Sub. Lt. "Serge" Wetherby, ?, ?, ?, "Jumper" Collins, ?. I also cannot remember the name of the guy on the front of this boat. I know it's short notice but I will be back in Wigan early next week and it would be great to meet any of the guys in the photo if they are available.

Pic had me puzzled at first, Tony.

It's not Wigan Pier as such, but just below Wigan bottom lock. Trencherfield Mill is in the background.
