Presentation at Hindley Town Hall.

I can't remember a great deal about this presentation which took place at Hindley Town Hall. I know we had to wait for ages for a council meeting to finish before the presentation could start. I am on the left seated having won the Boys Junior section (I was 10 years old). I think the lad who won the Boy Seniors (standing left) was called Butler and came from the Warwick Drive area of Hindley. I regret to say I never knew the names of the officials or the girl winners.
The Councillor in the Centre is Richard Ollerton (a well-known Hindley Butcher of the time). Top right, in Sports Coat is Cncllr. Richard Myler. (p.s. my wife typed the letter in the other illustration).
The senior boy who won was my dad, Phillip Butler from Chapel Fields Lane Hindley who died in 1992
