Would the one in Lower Ince be Alf Taylor's? If so, I remember it.

Irene,so was the one at 389-391Warrington Rd Spring View. Do you remember the Milk Dairy bottom of Manley St was it Hansons Dairy.

Yes, I remember the dairy and the name Hanson's rings a bell. It is actually the Lower Ince Alf Taylor's that I remember, rather than the Spring View one. I can remember going in with my Mam for vests etc. when I was a little girl, although we lived in Higher Ince. I remember being fascinated by things being wrapped in brown paper and longed to have a go at the sellotape dispenser! It was all cardboard boxes and paper bags then, rather than plastic, and old packaging still fascinates me. It was lovely when we had draper's shops instead of buying everything in department stores and supermarkets. I had an Auntie, Uncle and cousins in Frederick Street.

I remember the photo now, jinski. Sometimes I wish we could go back, just for a while, to those times, just to see the old houses and shops again.
