I danced at Barbara Fenns from 1954 - 1964
I live in Golborne & still do.
We practiced then on Saturday mornings at St John's Church clubroom in Wigan.
I have photos from this era & will upload them soon.
I would love to see any old pics or hear from anyone who remembers me from this time at Miss Fenn's
- A few names I remember in my class was Vicky Finch from Platt Bridge, somebody called Lesley & somebody called Suzanne.
Ena Fogarty a neighbour & still a friend, also
Christine Mc.Grath were principle dancers at that time.
Miss Fenn's mother made up approx 300 costumes for each Annual display & was a wonderful creative lady.
Gerald Fenn also danced (Miss Fenn's brother)
Also Miss Fenn's 2 children Janet & I think her small son was Michael.
10 years spent at Miss Fenn's where part of
the Best Times of my life

I started dancing in st JOHNS HALL in 1951 I was 3 years old. Since that time I have never stopped dancing having trained and teaching in my own school, still teaching with my 2 daughters, grand daughter and sister all teaching dance now ! Happy days.I remember Christine Magrath being a senior dancer when I was about 10 years of age too ---It would be lovely to see some pics of that time as I have very few.Sheila Fouracre

I danced with Miss Fenn's Dance class from around 1971/2 from the age of 3 up till I was about 12/14 years old, my mum was the nurse called Sheila, I remember once in a show when Miss Fenn danced she cut her eye open on a table, I wish I was back there :-)

Is anyone still in touch or know the whereabouts of Barbara Fenn or her children? I am doing some family history research and could do with contacting them.
