the street you can see in between the houses in the back ground is scot lane newtown they had the circus on the field at the back of the houses

sorry i i ment to say does any one know if THE ELEPHANTS were owned by someone in wigan before the circus had them thanks

I remember my parents who lived in Scot Lane supplied the circus with water and in exchange we got free tickets to see the show.

Bertram Mills Circus had their Big Top on Laithwaite Fields off Scot Lane Newtown, August 1958.
