Based in Princess Street, off Chapel Lane I think. The building later occupied by a furniture company.

Loz, would the furniture company you mention have been Elizabeth Mills? If it was and I remember rightly it burnt down some years ago.

According to the Wigan World message board the Jam works was in Princess St.

my mothers maiden name was mawdsley the family was from hr ince she married my dad jim beckett .
