The programme from the soccer match at Springfield park. This was lent to me by Harold Heap my neighbour. I thought that it might bring back a few memories

I went to the game and I have this programme in my collection. I can see now, Elsie Tanner and Jennifer Moss starting the game.

I was there, Pat Phoenix missed the ball at kick off and later wouldn't sign any autographs. Don Arrol? did and I must find my autograph book to check the spelling of his name. Wish I had kept the programme!

Over 20,000 fans saw the game.Pat missed the ball at the kick-off and almost fell flat on her back but was saved by a Rotary Club official who caught her. She later helped Jennifer with a blanket collection. A boy also fell through the roof of the St Andrews Drive stand.

It was Don Arroll not Dan. He was compere at the Sunday Night at the London Palladium. He died of a heart attack at only 38 years of age.
