seems pretty good to me albert, may you have many more birthdays.bet it seems like it wasn't too long ago.
Thank you Baker Boy. I just wish that, at the present time, things wouldn't speed along at such a fast pace. Technology is galloping along. Materialism seems to be the in thing, and caring for each other seems to have been left in another age. I suppose it is all termed as progress.
Yes, Albert, the older you get the faster time goes!
So you`ve only been getting the extra 25p/week pension for nearly a year.. I`ll be starting my eighth year with this extra pension next January.
I used to get birthday cards like this.
Correction to my previous comment - should have said I`ll be starting my seventh year with this extra pension next January - must have drunk too much wine!
I`ve found a card like yours, sent to me nearly 77 years ago, amongst a lot of cards I have in a shoe box! It was for my 10th birthday. It has a photo of a yacht with a very tall sail in the figure 1 and a face of a black cat next to two red roses in the centre of the figure O. The greetings read:- "Ten Years to-day! Here`s wishing Luck to You and Happiness in everything You do".
The front surface of this card is very glossy.
Hi Ernest. The card that I have illustrated is a single piece of cardboard, with a glossy front. May you,for many future years, continue to enhance your bank balance with your Government, over eighties allowance. Best wishes. Albert.
Lovely sentiment. So beautiful & of its time.
