We had John Woods haulage engines underground at Stones pit in Garswood. This was before the NCB brought in the Pikrose engines

I love this old style of correspondence Ron. The way the letter is written always intrigued me such as referring to the date as the inst. etc....today the same response would by by text and would probably take the form of.
