Hey, nice 1 Nads!
Well spotted Nadine a once in a lifetime photo. These will never be seen again at ground level in our lifetime...
Cheer's lozzy and gerry..
Wigan was once relatively famous for its bell foundry industry. A long, long time ago though.
Has Quasimodo (AKA Norman Bond) been re-housed up in the belfry too. The name may well ring a bell to some folks. LOL
like that cyril,he lives in the isle of man i think with his son
Cyric, do you refer to Rev Norman Bond who was vicar at St Catharine's for a numer of year in the late 70s and 80s? If so he was a wonderful person and very well liked. He now lives with his son on the Isle of Wight and in his nineties.
John he may have come across has being a nice man to you and others, but believe me he wasn't, I worked as the caretaker at the school late 1970s and early 1980s and saw a very different person to the one he portrayed to others.
wow cyril i allways thought he was brilliant,he married us and christened my children,he always visited my mum&dad regular and no1 has a bad word to say about him...
