The Carnival Queen Sheila Summers aged 13 years of Linney St Scholes is crowned by Mrs P walker (wife of Cnlr A Walker). The Crown Bearer is Frank Edwards (Lifeboys), the Maids Of Honour: Olga Bamber, Aileen Ellis and Pamela White all Brownies, Dorothy Ince, Joyce Maitlant and Eileen Thompson (GFS?) and the Page Boys: Andrew Rivera (Cubs) and John Sherrington (Lifeboys)

John you done it again,,was only thinking about the carnival on saturday night last when i was looking at the Bowling Club Trip picture,(see comment)
I was on the Lifeboys float we did Humpty Dumpty and i was a guard stood at the side of Humpty,,,I do rmember my mothers float,,dont know if was "Mothers Union" are the Drama group float but there theme was "Nobody Loves a Fairy when she,s Forty" with all the ladies dressed as fairies,,
Olga Bamber,SAilen Ellis,John Sherrington all in same class as me at the time,again see school pic,
Just love looking at these pics and savouring the memories.
One thing though I dont think "THEY" would allow it now being on the back of a lorry with being strapped down and tied together
