I believe the cafe was Mollie Hammond's and good for her supplying "Dinners".....WHY have Wiganers, born and bred here, started saying "Lunch"?!

Quite right, lunch was the small snack at mid morning school break, mine was always a Blue Riband biscuit bought at Kelsall's near St Nathaniel's,dinner was what we had,and continue to have at mid-day especially now me and 'im in doors are pensioners, tea was the other meal, usually at 5ish. Supper was hot cup of tea, Horlicks or cocoa and a Marie biscuit.
