Some of these children look happy, some don't. I had a nightmare time at this school because I was a girl & I went to Zion Methodist Chapel. my parents took me away when I was 9.

I went to Zion Methodist too and had no trouble,that is me 3rd row down 3rd girl sitting with my arms folded,I think I had attitude in those days

it wasn't the pupils I had problems with, it was the teachers - especially Miss Rimmer. Did we know each other Eileen? I was Margaret Morris in those days.

Dont remember a Miss Rimmer must have been a different year,not sure of the year it was taken

Was that Granville Barton? He had a brother called John. Also is Harold Stevenson on this photo,he lived on Millers Lane?

Hi, Maggie just to correct a small error in your comment regarding televisions, Frank Draper who lived next door to you was the first person in Millers Lane to own a telly,we were the next,Balmers were most likely the third,we bought our telly from Naylors it was a 12 inch HMV ,I remember watching the winter olympics on it in 1952,
