taken around the mid 90's, well known around Aspull, sadly both now passed away.
Scanned from a photo taken originally with my Olympus OM1N
Nice dogs but what is this to do with wigan?????????
A lovely photo Harry of two bonny dogs.
Why does there have to be such hurtful comments about 2 beautiful, much loved pets.
Presumably Wigan born & bred! This is a fabulous photo` and if it were mine I would place it where I could see every day.
A wonderful photograph of two lovely dogs who probably knew their bit of Wigan better than most people. Made my day seeing this photograph and I've shown it to my family. Thanks for posting.
harry, If you read my first comment you will know. H.
To Christine Ward, I have large paintings of them and my other Springer on my wall done by my son so I still see them. H.
Beautiful dogs, much better than the ones you see full of vodka on a Saturday night in Wigan.
We used to have a Springer he was as daft as a brush. Brilliant dogs!
Never owned a springer, but certainly know by first-hand experience that they are noisy, nuts, and destructive if bored! Very pretty dogs, but even the cross-breeds... thought of owning one makes me shudder! Sorry! :)
A dog is only as good as it's owner!
you are not wrong Garry
I must disagree, apart from the usual when he was a pup, you are right Josh did some chewing then I got Jake, problem solved, they were both well trained and very well behaved dogs, noisey nuts! not my three, I had another one before as well 'see other photo' I have also had a Labrador, and never had behaveure problems, inciuding being with young children, it's usually the owner at fault not the dog.
If you wish to get really fit, get a Springer, they will walk you unconscious. They thrive on plenty of exersise. Just the ticket, if you are finding it difficult to lose weight. They also have a mind of their own.
On regular occasions,my wife, and I, looked after my son's springer spaniel, Vince. One day we were walking across a grassy space, going towards a wood,in Kent. A camper was about to cook his breakfast. He went into his tent, and whilst he was in there, Vince ran off with his string of sausages. We made a quick departure before he came out of the tent.
Albert, that is a coincidence, we went on holiday and while we were away our son had friends in for a barbeque, I can't remember which but one of the dog made off with a string of sausage, easy target too temting I suppose.
