This was pre our NHS which started in 1948.The bottom right hand side says Scottish Legal Health Insurance so it was a private scheme.My parents paid 1 shilling a week to our Doctor to pay for medecines etc.until the start of the NHS.I think they finished paying the outstanding bill in 1952.
