Dennis I once copied this advertisement from a book which I then enlarged and framed, it looked superb.

That's a great picture. I wonder if you can get a copy of it from somewhere?

I have a copy the book that advert came from. But as it is only a Half Tone picture i.e. made up of dots, you won't get a clear picture if you enlarge it to much

Ron, which book is it in?

It is on the front cover of a book entitled "A WALK DOWN MEMORY LANE" A collection of photos reprinted from the leader pages of the Wigan Observer. Published late 1950's early 1960's. Drawn by William Little and published by courtesy of Brooke Bond Tea Ltd. Although I have seen it in the inside of another book I have It could be a trade Directory?

maureen Andrews. I got this image from the "Wigan Official Handbook" of about 1958 or 59 vintage. It's an illustration by William Little.

The book I copied it from I borrowed from the main library, I can't remember the title, but it was from off the local interests shelves and contained photos of old Wigan.
