Selnec which later became GMPT took all the new and best buses away from Wigan and gave us all the old shoddy ones from elsewhere.

This bus was a Seddon and used on the Manchester Victoria - Piccadilly shuttle prior to being transfered to Wigan

Nothing changes , First are now providing Wigan with the cast offs from everyehere....what a disgrace they are !!

Thanks for posting this. Although they were ultimately scattered around the county, I never remember seeing any of these in Wigan. Appreciate seeing the picture.

Cyril, Selnec ceased to exist when Wigan was taken into Greater Manchester in April 1974 and none of Wigan's new buses ever left Wigan. So what you are saying is not true. GMT took the oldest buses away from Wigan.

A Seddon was mooved to wigan to see if the 624 Bottling wood bus could be converted to OPO ie turn at terminus without reversing it couldnt so it whent back to PS depot
