He killed my grandmother's dog.
He almost killed my Dad too
Sadly he did kill two people who lived in my grandmother's street, Harper Street and 3 others in Wigan.
My Dad was a baby at the time, about 7/8 months old.I'm told he was in his pram when the the glass from the windows being blown in landed on him. They lived in Darlington Street East close to Harper Street.
My Grandma lived in Belle Green Lane Ince. She remembered quite clearly the Zeppelin going over. Its intended target was apparently the Wigan Coal and Iron Works at Top Place between the top of Belle Green Lane and Cale Lane in New Springs.
This must have been an alarming experience,my great grandmother was so terrified she "lets all gas us selves"
