yes i remember the good old days
what good memories no one pushing trollies into you and all the local news and gossip
Yes I do Irene, wonderful memories.... Pity the children of today, not quite the same thing going through Asda or Tescoe, is it?
Thanks for your kind comments ladies; So many memories,... the "tick" book, the big red bacon slicer, and little lads running in shouting "'Ave yer any ice-buns, Missis?...Well slorr on um!",and running out again in fits of giggles!
Mam would send me for a loaf and the shop keeper would wrap it in tissue, and mam would say "ask them to put the change in a bag and twist the top" by the time I got home I had eaten all the corners off the loaf, happy days.
You and me Elizabeth must be from the same ilk, I too used to get a loaf from the shop which was wrapped in tissue paper and I used to eat all the corners. Memories.
