he died working on the death railway when he was a p.o.w in japan.

My dads grave is in the Thanbyuzayat war cemetery Myanmar.He died in Burma on the death railway.

no i never went to his grave when i enquired they said it was a long hazzardous journey and only go if your in good health i wish i had gone when i was younger

I knew a gentleman and his wife His name was John Hilton he lived on Hall Lane in Hindley, Him and his wife Ann used to keep the newsagents shop at the top of Market St. in Hindley he kept me enthralled with his stories of how he escaped, He was a true gentleman and very sadly missed.
