Where is this memorial now? Never seen it only heard about it.

When I arrived it was stored in the cellar of the present church, having been previously kept in the garage of the old Vicarage on Westwood Lane, until that was sold. When the church was refurbished in 2002/03 it was cleaned up and installed at the back of the church. The companion plaque, commemorating the deaths in the Harmood-Banner family, was used to commemorate those who fell in WW2. (The original stone plaque on the outside West wall of the old church having been lost when it was demolished.) I posted pics of the plaques, including one of their present situation, last year - look up 'Places - St Mary's Lower Ince' in this Album.

Thank you Reverend can these memorials be viewed at anytime or is the church only open for services now.

If I'm around I'm happy to open up the church - but unfortunately we cannot leave the building open and unattended. Email me if you want to make arrangements.
