I found this bill when clearing out my Father's house a few years ago.
It is from C T Maltby, 27 Standishgate. Wine, Spirit & Beer Merchants. It is dated 2/11/1948. It was for deliveries made 3 times in October to my father who was on leave from his job in India & he was living at 17 St Clements Rd. The grand total was £2-14-14d !
How much does a pint cost today ?!

I worked for your dad, they called me max at the time,as there was 3 more bills working there at same time, bill finney bill hart and bill Chadwick. I remember you.
My Dad is Bill Hart who worked for Maltby's delivering and taking orders. He is now 93yrs of age.
