Does the number and yards mean the dog get a start of the yards or is it what they won by in there last race

A nice piece Ron. But I don't why Rudolph had needed a 2yd start, as he was quite simply 'head and shoulders' above the rest.

The yardage quoted meant the dog got that much start i.e. the trap would be set that many yards in front of the starting line.
