Those old jerseys are much smarter than the logo clad modern kit. Bring it back.
I wonder how this team would have fared against the great 80s side of Kenny, Ferguson et al.

Jackie Cunliffe the only man to play for Wigan in the thirties forties fifties and sixties.

They managed to gain silverware (the Challenge Cup) at the end of the 57/58 season, their first since the 1951/52 campaign Billy's first with Wigan after 5 seasons with them.

Poet,80s team er?. Today's Team as someone who goes to every home match ,and Finals must go for the 57/58 team .Played a different type of Rugby them days.Bit Robotic these days but no disrespect to today's players.Still the best team game & Team in the World.

TD:Correct terry o,grady& Bernard magurin played at Wembley in 1958 o,grady on the right wing with boston left center to Sullivan, magurin replaced evans at loose forward

Bernard Mcgurrin worked at de Havilland Propellers at Lostock and he brought the cup to work. The only time I have lifted the Challenge Cup.

I remember that team. I had only then started to be able understand the game. I was a member of the lads pen - ooh, it was rough in there. Used to climb out regularly to get into the main section.
