It is my sad duty to report that Jack Richardson, pictured, Goalkeeper, died on 30 May 2021 just 6 days after his 88th birthday. I have a number of pictures and other archive papers from his time with the "Latics" which I would be pleased to share with you. I found this page, I wondered if you had any other archive pictures of my father, playing at Springfield Park?

I am very shocked to hear the the passing of a great fellow and school teacher at the Blackrod Secondary Modern or County Secondary in the 1960s which he taught myself up to 1965 the following subjects :- Music,Religious Knowledge and Sport and also a lot more pupils from Blackrod and Surrounding districts. In later life he always seemed a very happy and a jovial type man and not a cross word for anyone. God Bless Fred our thoughts are with you.
