Wigan forward Geoff Fletcher receives magic sponge treatment from physio Johnny Lawrenson in the match against Rochdale Hornets at the Athletic Grounds in the 2nd round of the Challenge Cup on Sunday 24th of February 1974.
Wigan won the match 25-8.

Frank, the heading of the photo says Wigan Athletic which means the photo will go into the Wigan Athletic folder

Not Wigan Athletic as caption states. He was known as piggy because he had a pig farm at the Ecclefton end off Saints ground at Knowsley Road.

what a guy this bloke was when he later became player coach at Runcorn Highfield he would be working on the turnstilles
before the game,played the game then would be dishing the pies out in the club house after the game.He lived and slept Rugby League true gent what you saw you got.
