Looking to see if my Dad is in there somewhere. He belonged to a cycling club in Wigan, he lived in Newtown. I have a pic of him on his drop handled bike at the end of a race he won. It seemed to be taken in the Market Sq.

Is that a tandem on the left hand side? Great shot.

Possibly Wigan Clarion cycling club Ron,who were active in the late 1800s/early 1900s.
The gentleman standing 4th right with the bowler hat and white beard looks very much like James Higson, who was the lodge keeper at Plantation Gates at this time.

The building through the trees is possibly 'The Hollies'?

Wigan Wheelers are stil active, James. They were founded in 1919, some years after this photo was taken.
