I remember playing in this league for ince parish
Every time we went to st marys we got hammered
And i mean hammered
Theres every chance i played in the fixture shown.
Ince St Mary's v ince parish clb
I played in this league for Platt Bridge Holy Family and for the Federation against Bolton. We went to Bolton in a coach and it was parked close to the field. I cleared a ball into touch and it went through the coach side window. Holy Family went all season and lost only one mach against Wigan Boys club away. We only had half the regular team playing that match. Wigan Boys club field was shocking it was next to the bone works the smell was awfull. There was more grass on the m6 motorway than that ground.
St marys field was the same
Railway line on one end and big pond down tuther end

I was just about to ask who was the D.Evans mentioned.. then I saw the below comments.
Derek, are you related to the Evans family from Wilson Street & New Street Platt Bridge ?
I had no relatives in platt bridge.
I came from bryn gates all the evans side of the family were from Bryn.
John Connaughton whose name appears was the Man Utd reserve goalkeeper at the time of Law, Best and Charlton. I dated his sister Vivien!
Another Wigan lad who played for Utd was Dave Gaskell from Orrell!
