The wagon that your grandad is posing with Jake is a Bedford OY type . OYD if it was a general service vehicle ,
OYC if it was a tanker .
There were thousands of these trucks floating about after the war , as well as the ex - MOD QL Bedfords .
A lot of the old coal baggers used them in the 50s and 60s .
I’d be surprised if Garry didn’t have one actually.
One that ran on Harvey’s Bristol Cream .
