This was my Aunt Jennie who married Joe Bradshaw. The bike is an old one. Can anybody name the bike for me?

My hubby thinks it might be a Sunbeam but can't be sure. EK was certainly a Wigan Registration.

Fred. The bike resembles those made by Sunbeam during the 1920s.

Fred, Bas thinks it could be a Sunbeam but I have asked Martin...the bike expert !

Lovely pic of Auntie Jennie, she always had a beautiful smile.

Fred.
You might like to consider The Sunbeam 'Sporting' 3 1/2 HP.

looks more like a royal enfield to me

Looks more like the 1914 model Sunbeam.

Don't know anything at all about motor bikes but I bet Jenny did - she looks like a girl ahead of her time sitting on it! Good for her!

The bike is in my opinion a Matchless, I have a photo of a very similar machine take at Beamish Museum.

it is a 1923 223 cc royal enfield

Fred.
Go into Google with 'Sunbeam Classic Motorcycles - Classic Motorbikes', and then consider the photo of the 1920 model.

Looks like a 499cc Sunbeam Light Tourist model of 1925.

Sunbeam. 3 1/2 HP side valve 500 . Approx' 1920.

I'd go for a Sunbeam. I expanded the photo and it looks like the wording The Sunbeam is on the petrol tank. With its springer front suspension and hand gear shift, I bet this bike was interesting to ride.
