This is Thomas (Tommy) Morgan. Half brother to James, Mary and Winifred Hollingsworth. He was the first born to Eliabeth out of wedlock hence the Morgan name. He was a pitman but had a beautiful voice and used to sing around the pubs and clubs. He never married.

He looks very much like my dad. I wonder if it was the Welsh coming out in his singing! I will treasure these photos. Thank you.

I remember him coming to our house in John St and he always wore a trilby.

Tommy's father was Irish. He did a runner when Elizabeth told him she was pregnant. Jimmy had always loved her and asked her to marry him and he would bring up Tommy as his own. Tommy liked the Irish tenors and their songs. I think Joseph Locke was a favourite. He nearly always went to Ireland for his holidays. There was an order issued for maintenance but Grandma got upset when the policeman came to door to say they'd traced him so Grandad told them not to bother with enforcing it he would bring him up.

I did know about Thomas but how awful it must have been at the time for them.
