Possible regulars from the Commercial pub of Victoria rd on a trip to the races? c1930 Peter Battersbys local pub was the Commercial from c1890 to 1936. Peter is 2nd right, on the 2nd row down from the 3 chaps on the back row. Peters shop was number 8 Victoria rd, known locally as Bats in those days and was situated beside the vicarage wall.
