The car in the centre is a mark V111 Lotus driven by Stockport based Brian Naylor.
I remember going to Bob Vincents garage with a friend who knew him around 1970's, In his garage He had a GT 40 ad a racing car ( forgot the name? could it have been McClaren?) and also I think he had a Jag with an aluminum body.
I had an Austin Healy Sprite which he put on his forecourt when I was trying to sell it. If I rmember right, I think his daughter wanted it but she couldn't afford the insurance

I had a 3.5 jag in the late 60s. It was a gas guzzler ( 12 mpg) Bob Vincent was the only person to buy it from me. He showed me the GT40. I think that it was a Ford. I remember that all the nuts and bolts in the engine compartment were drilled and wired up. I bought a Vauxhall Victor estate car from him reg. no. GUG 101D and it was a really good car
When I was 17 I bought a 1958 Standard Pennant from Bob Vincent, it was £80. The insurance was £16.
I knew Bob very well, yes it was a Ford GT 40,although he had three of them over the years.the JAguar was a genuine works lightweight, one of only twelve built.there were also many other race cars and motorcycles.I also know Keith Beckett, same class at Wigan Grammar School.Hello keith.
