My mum & dads wedding day at St Stephens Whelley June 24th 1948.
Kathleen Winstanley married Doug Stephens.

I came along 3 years later.
Sadly dad died in 1982 (56 years old), mum died in 2001, she was 78.
Mums brother Jack went on to become the Editor of the Wigan Observer. Uncle Peter ran the butchers shop on Schofield Lane just up from Scholes.
