I *think" the brides name is Francis (sp?). I remember both her and her husband from Platt Bridge Labour Club. I am pretty sure that is the man, but I cannot remember his nae... but I remember his wife was Francis.
Now, my mother always called her Francis Evans, but that could be because my mother knew her before she married. My wifes family is related to some Evans from Platt Bridge, but I don't think it was this family.
The parents is prob'lly Billy Evans or Bronk as he was know, the grandparents are definitely Suranne (Sarah Anne and William Evans of wilson street then New Street Platt Bridge.
Mary Evans is on the photo, so is John , MR & Mrs Evans are on the right of Frances i think and i mean think the groom is Vince ?
Frances will be about 77 now and it his Holy Family church and it has to be in the mid to late 50s
On closer inspection Mary,s husband Harold Appleton is on holding a baby
Mark, I thought Mary Evans was married did to Billy Evans, Whos Harold? did she marry again?
Who is John ? I know there was brothers Peter and Jimmy, does anyone know which they are , there was also a sister Martha, can she be identified??
Thanks everyone.
Stuart

Frances Hall (nee Evans) is the bride and is my mother, who married William (billy) Hall from Golborne. My father sadly passed away 8 years ago but my mother is well and still living in Golborne. She can name all the wedding party if anyone needs to know

Hullo, can anyone help me. I’m from South Africa and searching for relatives who lived in Upholland. My grandfather was John Richard Evans born Upholland 29 December 1878. His father was John Evans a coal miner and his mother Martha Ellen Evans. They lived in Tawd Bridge Houses, Upholland.
