This grainy picture is of my great granddad and great grandmother,John and Susan Jackson.John and Susan were both born in 1854 and married in Manchester Cathedral then moved to Hindley not long after.Susan,s maiden name was Christian and hailed from Louth,Lincolnshire.The picture might have been taken after a church service with Susan holding the Bible on her lap.
