I think 1947 but there is no sign of any snow. It must have all melted. It is before the Douglas stand was painted cherry and white(without planning permission)

A friend of mine lived in the large white house in the top left of the photograph

spent hours watching river in flood when i was aged seven or eight, lived very near here, must have been year1947-1948

Hi xxStuartxx, you wouldn't know if the "white house" was called "Hills Cottage" would you? Only Central Park in 1902 was owned by a butcher named Hill who grazed his cows on what became known as Central Park and I just wondered.......just a thought.
